Providing you have the space and want to keep this feature, the fireplace can remain and become a focal point with candles or accessories to pull the whole theme together, along with the rich hues of the wooden floor.

Keep the wooden beams, panels or floor enhancing the traditional impact.

However, if  the floor is not in a good condition or you want a walk-in flat level shower a tiled floor is essential.  Soak can offer a selection of wood-effect tiles from Valentino-Piemme if this is still your preference.
