A hammock is one of the most relaxing things to lie in - preferably either in a garden on a sunny day or even better by the sea! So taking their inspiration from this, Splinter Works have designed and produced a bath that is suspended between 2 walls as if it is a hammock.
The Vessel will need to be in a wet room - as the water falls directly into a floor drain, and the bath measures 2700 x 800mm so the bathing area must be built to this. The Vessel is constructed from a carbon fibre weave; strong enough to hold someone and water and with a foam core for insulation ensuring the water does not cool too quickly. It is secured with stainless steel brackets and as with many of the freestanding baths we offer to clients you would need a tap or bath shower mixer with standpipes.
There will also be design limitations in the actual bathroom as you would need access from both sides of the bath, but a specialist bathroom designer would make this work as long as you have enough space to create your wet room oasis.
