Cersaie: Bathroom Excellence 1998 - 2012

This year, Cersaie featured a project that celebrated excellence in bathroom design, in collaboration with ADI - the Italian Industrial Design Association.
 

“Bathroom Excellence 1998/2012” groups together 160 products, made by over 80 companies, designed by 110 famous designers and selected over the years by the ADI Design Permanent Observatory that are published in the annual ADI Design Index, containing all the best Italian design products.

The exhibition celebrates the evolution of bathroom design in a chronological itinerary, and shows the progress of the various methods, styles and habits that have evolved over the years.

Among the milestones of these changes, the ADI juries have selected a few Teuco products including Paper, the Duralight® bathtub designed by Giovanna Talocci and published in the 2011 ADI Design Index.  Dominated by its futuristic silhouette, Paper introduced Hydroline, the whirlpool that combines design and technology, where the classic nozzles have been replaced by minimalist slits.

A dedicated corner showcased this styling innovation, with a collection of photographs of other Teuco products, which are already part of design history, in the background.

Also featured were some products from Catalano; in 1999 Catalano Sistema Zero was selected, and in 2003 Catalano Zero +.

Underfloor heating - a feline favourite

We always recommend underfloor heating if there is a shower, or in a family bathroom where there might be some water spills from children.  Nothing beats having toasty warm tiles on a cold winters evening - and if you have any cats in the family they will think so too!

For those who want a TV in the bathroom, or a high-powered shower, a whirlpool spa bath or a shower bidet we can guide you in the right direction.

So you've had a wish-list for a long time, and with one thing and another you haven't got round to making the big decision.  But finally, it's time for a new bathroom!  Bathrooms are used daily by everyone in the family, but they can also be a retreat at the end of your day.  They are often used by your guests, so this is something to bear in mind when planning what you want.  A new bathroom can add significantly to the value of your property, and a fully trained bathroom designer can help you make the most use of space and come up with suggestions you may not think of within your budget.

Sometimes a long soak in a bath is just the thing.  And surely you didn't think we'd resist the oh so apt header do you?!  

So which bath is the one for you?

Teuco Freestanding Paper bath

The Teuco Paper bathtub is available in a wide number of sizes and in a large number of configurations: flush-fit, undermount, built-in recessed, and with between 1 and 4 panels. You can select panels in Whte or pick from one of the Pantone shades or the wood finishes of Anthracite Oak, Limed Oak and Wenge.  On display in the Soak in Style showroom is the exclusive Hydroline whirlpool, the first system to feature stylish slits instead of nozzles.  The innovative design of this bathtub has been included in the prestigious ADI DESIGN INDEX 2011, and was designed by Giovanna Talocci, an industrial and interior designer.

Axor Urquiola bath

A bathroom for the senses - designed by Patricia Urquiola and part of the Axor Hansgrohe range.  Axor Urquiola is a collection that inspires you to live your bathroom dream giving a style fusion and sense of harmony.  The feminine shaped Axor Urquiola bath, basin and mixers can be seen in the Soak in Style showroom. 

Victoria + Albert Toulouse bath

The Victoria + Albert Toulouse bath draws inspiration from the 19th Century French double ended bateau bath, and is made from their unique Quarrycast® material that has high insulation properties.

The Mastella Vov bath is egg shaped so you can bathe in cocooned warmth and soak all your stresses and strains away.
